Sette, Questo Vino Rosso, 1 Litre, Italy 2019
One litre bottle
Sette means “seven” – it’s a story of 3 friends, who wanted make wines in their local area of Nizza Monferrato in Veneto – wines that are spontaneous, natural and a joy to drink. Their unconventional approach means that the wines fall outside of local wine regulations so the grape varieties aren’t written on the label, nor where they come from.
These wines are expressive, youthful and full of energy – made from organic grapes, with spontaneous fermentation on indigenous yeasts and designed for drinking young, with friends or simple food, these are what summer’s all about.
“A simple red wine, made from a blend of Barbera, Syrah and Pinot Nero, which varies from year to year and aspires to be pleasantly drinkable. Sold in litre bottles with a screw top. Natural and unpretentious. The grapes are vinified separately and fermented in steel vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged in large 30hl barrels for a period that varies from year to year, ” from their website
