La Malcicion Tinto, Vinos de Madrid, DO, Spain
A blend of Tempranillo (85%) and indigenous, local grape Malvar (15%), this wine is from a hot and arid region, around the mountains of Madrid. The must is macerated with skins and stalks for 50 days, undergoing a spontaneous fermentation, and is aged in old oak casks. This wine is made from old vines, grown at high altitude (730m), which ensures a lively and fresh style and the ripe, smooth, black fruits leap from the glass. A delicious, food friendly wine, but you can happily sip on this with just a handful of nuts.
