Château Léoville Barton ‘La Réserve de Léoville Barton’ Magnum
The Léoville-Barton estate stretches 50 hectares and includes Langoa-Barton (St-Julien) and Mauvesin-Barton (Moulis-en-Médoc). The estate has been owned and managed by Irish (descent) family the Bartons since 1868. Its situated in the smallest of the top 4 Medoc Communes in the Saint-Julien appellation. The vineyards lie in gravely-clay soils and are planted 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. According to Decanter, ‘the Léoville plateau has long been recognised as one of the very best spots on the whole of the Left Bank for producing long-living, complex and powerful wines”.
La Réserve de Léoville-Barton is the second wine from this famous estate. Produced in a classical St-Julien style of power and elegance with signature notes of blackcurrant and cedar.
