Wine Tasting – Bordeaux for Easter Left bank v Right bank

April 16 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

€50

An understanding of Bordeaux is essential for any would-be wine connoisseur. Discover why the region has such an enviable reputation for its red wines and explore its lesser-known whites too.

Besides laying claim to being France’s largest vineyard area and home to more large wine estates than anywhere else in the country, Bordeaux also produces a larger share of the world’s most expensive wines than anywhere else.

Learn about the landmark 1855 classification of Bordeaux and taste a plethora of wines featured then, which continue to have glowing reputations today.

We’ll taste wines from the Cabernet-dominated left Bank in Bordeaux, home to some of the most famous wines in the world from communes such as Pauillac, St. Julien & Margaux.

We’ll compare these with the rich and supple Merlot driven Right Bank wines from the world famous regions of  St. Emilion and Pomerol to name but a few.

Bordeaux is not all about top-shelf, traditional wines, we’ll hope to show wines that are full of energy and offer good value drinking.

Spaces are limited and should be booked and paid in advance.
