“Matsu El Pícaro 2016 is the new vintage of a young Spanish red wine that has gained considerable market recognition over the last years. This wine is crafted solely from organically farmed Tinta de Toro grapes.
All of them come from almost centenary, low-yielding vineyards planted in soils with very low levels of organic matter. Produced by the Matsu winery, the grapes were harvested by hand, destemmed and fermented in concrete vats.Then the wine was transferred into French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 3 months.
